We are New Hope Church Guildford

We are a community of people seeking to love God more. We gather weekly for prayer, song, learning and to experience the amazing joy of God's care and encourage one another in our faith journey.

At New Hope we are committed to following three core values: to love God, love one another and to love those in our community.

We understand that going to church for the first time or returning after a period of absence can be scary! Our desire is that at New Hope you will find a place where you feel you belong and can participate in the life of the church. You do not have to be perfect to come to church just willing to explore and grow. It takes courage sometimes to do something new and we are here to help you discover and know the love of Jesus.

Our Services

Live Services

We meet together for worship and teaching every Sunday morning at our building just off Larch Avenue.  The meeting starts at 10.30 but there's coffee and tea available beforehand.  We also have a short refreshments break during the morning.  We currently worship using recorded music due to a lack of musicians, but we have found God meets with us just as powerfully and personally.

We also meet on Tuesday evenings via Zoom for study and prayer.  Do ask for log in details if you would like to be involved.

Church Events

Coming in September...

Comedian Andy Kind is joining us in September.
Andy is a comedian, preacher and writer. He started doing Stand-up in January 2005. By the September of that year, he had gone full-time as a comedian and has made a living from it ever since. He won "Anything for Laffs" in 2005 and in early 2019 hurdled over the 2000-gig barrier.
Described by The Scotsman as "Terrific" and by the Yorkshire Times as "Tossing out comic gems in an almost profligate manner", Andy's stand-up style is the joyful ranting of a redeemed alpha male. He has been featured on BBC1, ITV and Channel 4, while he's had jokes featured on Dave's One Night Stand and Live at the Apollo.

More info, dates etc, to follow. This will be an event not to miss, whether you call yourself a Christian or not.
